2014-2015 Housing Reservation Requirements
Please Note: The Savoy Apartments Will No Longer Be Part of Our
TSU Residential Communities For The Coming Fall 2014.
Obtain an admissions letter with full admittance to Texas Southern University (TSU).
Your admission will be documented with an assigned TSU ID Number (ex. T00-XXX-XXX).
All students who have an interest in living on campus must be registered for academic
courses with the university. University provision mandate the requirement of 15 hours
as an enrolled student.*
The free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) must be completed at www.fafsa.ed.gov and requisite documentation submitted to the TSU Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Financial aid must be awarded prior to the inclusion of financial aid in the analysis of the student’s ability
to pay. Qualifying students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours to receive the
maximum eligibility in financial assistance.
Submit meningitis shots to the TSU Health Center. Immunization must be taken within
5 years and 10 days before moving in. Visit www.tsu.edu/health for detailed information on submitting your shot record.
A student must provide proof of ability to pay 100% tuition & fees and 70% of the total housing room and board cost for admittance
into Residential Life & Housing at TSU. Estimates will be based on the student taking
Leasing Coordinator will confirm funding eligibility, and a Residential Lease & Meal
contract will be sent via email for the student to sign electronically.
