Wimba Ends January 2015, Collaborate now available

Wimba Live Classroom will not be available as of January 2015, in which case, old session archives will be lost. Now is a good time to start reviewing your old archives and saving in MP4 format to reuse in later courses. All new session archives should be saved in MP4 format also, to avoid later loss.
As Wimba Live Classroom “lays to rest” in 2015, now is a good time to familiarize yourself with and use Blackboard Collaborate. This amazing virtual tool has taken the best features of Wimba, WebEx, and Elluminate to bring you a great way to present, communicate, collaborate, conference, and lecture with anyone or any group. You can conduct virtual meetings with your students and/or collaborate with colleagues. In using Blackboard Collaborate you can present online events and webinars, deliver online lectures, conduct office hours with your students, have students meet with their groups independently, conduct surveys, polling, teleconference, etc.
This tool is physically housed in your Blackboard course the same as Wimba Live Classroom. Email coleit@tsu.edu or call 713-313-7242 to request a training session.
