A Message from President Rudley
Dear Alumni and Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to visit this web site and welcome back to Texas Southern University. The entire Texas Southern community is excited about the prospect of reconnecting with you and your fellow alumni because we know firsthand that an informed and energized alumni base is critical to the continued growth of our institution. For this reason, I will be in contact with you and all of our alumni via frequent email messages and regular alumni publications.
I strongly encourage you to explore this site to obtain the most current updates on the many new and exciting developments atTSU Now! The website allows you to connect with any area of university operations so you can get up to speed on the university's ongoing progress. Moreover, we ask that you take a moment to update all of your contact information, and particularly your most current email address as we are planning to enhance our email communications during the coming year.
Alumni play a critical role in Texas Southern's progress toward becoming one of the nation's leading urban-serving institutions. With the collaborative partnership between our Alumni Director, Connie L. Cochran ('90), and newly elected Texas Southern University National Alumni Association (TSUNAA) President Julia Mills Askew ('85 & ‘81), we are expecting even greater involvement from TSU graduates. We have enthusiastically visited active and engaged TSUNAA chapters across the country and globe, from California to Nigeria, to show how much we value your input.
We also hope that you will join us in celebrating 85 years of educating students this year. We have a lot of activities planned for alumni and friends. You'll find information on that and many other exciting things here, as well as our presence on Facebook and Twitter.
Again, we are delighted to reconnect with you and look forward to renewing your relationship with Texas Southern University.
John M. Rudley
