Jones School of Business continuing scholarships are awarded to full-time students who show exceptional academic ability, exemplify good citizenship as engaged members of the community, with a demonstrated financial need. Scholarship recipients must meet all university requirements for regular admission to the fall semester. Non-resident applicants qualify for an in-state tuition/fee waiver. Annual scholarship awards are renewable if all requirements are met each semester.

Scholarship Information:
The Jesse H. Jones School of Business is pleased to present a tremendous opportunity for student academic improvement, in partnership with Baxter Trust. The Baxter Trust Academic Improvement Scholarship Program is designed to encourage progression among full-time business majors, strengthen the academic resolve of promising students, reward significant improvement in academics, and ensure that all JHJ School students realize their full potential in the achievement of their educational and career goals. Two scholarship awards are possible during the term of the program – first award in the fall 2018 semester and second award in the spring 2019 semester if academic milestones are achieved. Scholarships awards are available in the amount of $500, $750, and $900.
Term of the Program: fall 2017 thru spring 2019
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to undergraduate students in good academic standing majoring in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, or marketing
- Enrolled full-time with an overall GPA of 2.00 – 2.99 at the close of the fall 2017 semester with no grades of “I” or “W”; must not be a transfer student
- Attempted and earned at least 12 semester hours at the close of the fall 2017 semester
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DREAMER with proof thereof
Participation: Students must meet ALL eligibility requirements to be considered for participation in the program. No application is required. Recipients will be notified by the Dean’s Office beginning the twelfth class day (September 10, 2018).

Scholarship Information:
Kari Gray-Smith and Gary L. Davis, 1979 School of Business graduates, are pleased to present the Class of 1979 Frame the Future Scholarship opportunity to full-time sophomores, juniors, and seniors majoring in business. One (1) $2,000 academic scholarship will be awarded for the 2018-2019 academic year. The scholarship award will be distributed to recipients’ TSU student account - $1,000 in the fall semester and $1,000 in the spring semester, provided that all eligibility requirements are maintained throughout the year. This scholarship also includes one year of personal mentorship/coaching.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
Enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 semester credit hours)
Open to undergraduate majors in accounting, finance, management, MIS, or marketing

The Jesse H. Jones School of Business and Brobbey family are pleased to announce the Dr. Ofori-Brobbey Memorial Scholarship opportunity for a deserving international student. The scholarship was established by family and friends in loving memory of Dr. William Kwadwo Ofori-Brobbey, Associate Professor of Management in the JHJ School of Business, to perpetuate the legacy of this unique and far-sighted man. Dr. Ofori-Brobbey epitomized the ultimate 20th Century American immigrant from Africa, for whom education was the golden key – sufficiently luring and worthy of pursuit in a foreign land. A consummate visionary educationalist, he sought educational opportunities not just for self and family, but also for anyone who would entertain his hearing for longer than a few moments. The scholarship award will be distributed to the recipient’s TSU student account for the academic year - $500 in the fall semester and $500 in the spring semester. (Applicant must meet the scholarship requirements for fall 2018 and spring 2019 to receive the 2018-2019 Dr. Ofori-Brobbey Scholarship award in spring 2019) Students may re-apply.

The Jesse H. Jones School of Business is pleased to present the prestigious and highly competitive Kase and Eileen Lawal Endowed Scholarship opportunity to business students with an interest in international business and global trade. The scholarship is matched by the President’s Leadership Scholarship (PLS), allowing scholarship recipients to receive a $2,500 Lawal award, in addition to a $1,000 PLS award. Scholarship awards will be distributed to recipients’ TSU student accounts in the spring semester. The scholarship is renewable.

- Enrolled full-time in a minimum of 12 semester credit hours (undergraduate) or a minimum of 9 semester credit hours (graduate)

Scholarship application re-opens in Spring 2020.
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) scholarship awards process is highly competitive and is given to outstanding and qualified students who plan to earn a baccalaureate, graduate or law degree from an accredited college or university. The average award is $3,100 per student per semester. Most scholarships are one year, non-renewable unless otherwise indicated and awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability or national origin.
TMCF Scholarships:
- Are merit based and applicants must have a financial need to qualify
- Are restricted for payment of tuition, on campus room and board, books and fees
- Are paid directly to the college or university on behalf of the award recipient to be credited to his or her school account

The Zootomist Live Your Dream Awards assist women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. Each year, more than $2.1 million in education grants are awarded to nearly 1,500 women, many of whom have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, domestic violence and/or drug and alcohol abuse. Live Your Dream Awards recipients may use the cash award to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education, such as books, childcare, tuition and transportation. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in, or have been accepted to, a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program and must demonstrate financial need. CITGO Petroleum Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college. Accounting, finance, and management information systems are eligible to apply. Up to twenty (20) $2,000 scholarship awards for undergraduate study will be granted.
