Weekend TSU

The TSU Weekend University program is a degree completion program and our way of telling you that we know that college is not always a straight run for everyone. Life has a way of getting in the way of our plans and sometimes, people have the need to step aside and deal with personal or general life issues which would make it challenging to deal with and be a successful college student at the same time. We welcome you back into our fold and will take special care to help you re-integrate into the college environment by offering you classes on Friday nights and a few hours on Saturday. That way, you can combine your work and family life with a renewed engagement towards completing your degree.

about the program

Who qualifies?
In the long term, the Weekend University will be open to anyone wishing to avail of the opportunity to complete a degree in one of the areas in which we will offer programs. However, for now, we wish to support those wishing to complete a degree in the areas of Business Management and Administration of Justice, especially those who already have at least 45 college level credits. On the other hand, if the course offerings listed here meet your own requirements and needs, feel free to apply.

When does it start and end?
The very first session will start on June 3rd and run until August 13th. Thereafter, new and continuing students will start the Fall semester at the same time as all other TSU students, as prescribed in the published university calendar.

Who will teach the classes?
Our regular professors, from the Jesse H. Jones School of Business, the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Behavioral Sciences, Science and Technology and the Barbara Jordan and Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs.

When will classes be held?
For about three hours every Friday evening from 6.00 to 9.00 pm, followed by sessions from 0900 am till 6.00 pm on Saturday. Professors will guide you through the easy steps you need to be able to receive and submit assignments online during the remainder of the week.

What if I am interested but am not able to pay?
There are several ways we could help, including assisting you with your application for financial aid if you qualify. You may also be eligible for for payment using an installment. Please contact us for further details and to be directed to the appropriate office.

We look forward to seeing you on our campus in just a few weeks from now!
