As Texas Southern University faculty and staff members work diligently to prepare a safe environment for learning for the upcoming Fall 2020 semester, The Division of Student Services has developed a dedicated parents area for pertinent information. The Tiger Parents page will be housed prominently on the homepage of the University’s website, TSU.edu.

“Our parents are important members of the Tiger family and we want them to get everything they need to be as informed as possible,” said Kenneth Huewitt, Interim President of Texas Southern University.

The Tiger Parents Page provides information in an accessible format to maximize the time of busy families preparing to send their children to Texas Southern University during these unusual times in higher education, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Information ranges from academics to housing and dining and other areas that contribute to the quality of life and safety of students.

“This is one-stop shopping for parents,” said Dr. Teresa McKinney, Vice President for Student Services and Enrollment.

“As an educator and mother of four, I understand how precious our children are and the need for our collective efforts to keep them safe. We want our parents to know that we are partners as we move forward with our upcoming plans. Student safety is our number one concern. The TSU team stands ready to receive our students with the highest level of customer service. We welcome all feedback as we help them navigate the college experience.”
