Texas Southern University will welcome USA Today best selling author Bob Bordone's Confict Resilience Lecture and Book Signing series to campus for two days, April 25-26.
His new book, Conflict Resilience: Negotiating Disagreement Without Giving Up or Giving In, released in March 2025 introduces the concept of conflict resilience, offer strategies for how to navigate our most difficult conversations at school, home, community, work, and country, and provide opportunities for skills practice and conversation.
In his talk, Bordone will reveal both the neuroscience of what is happening in our brains when we are faced with conflict as well as evidence-based approaches for befriending conflict as a way to build trust and connection even in our strong disagreement.
Bordone is Senior Fellow at Harvard Law School, the Founder of Harvard Law School's Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program, and the founder of the Cambridge Negotiation Institute. He brings more than two decades of teaching, coaching, and mediating conflicts around the world to his work.
