Jordan Yin, Ph.D., AICP, is a faculty member in the Department of Community and Regional Planning at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL. He previously served on the faculties of Cleveland State University, Western Michigan University, and the University at Buffalo (SUNY). He received master's and doctoral degrees in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University and has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 1996. He has worked in the field of urban planning for more than 25 years and is a leading advocate of sustainable urban development, civic engagement, livable communities, and planning for social equity. He is the author of Urban Planning for Dummies (2012) and occasionally Tweets at @iPlanCities.
