Choir DirectorAshton Denzel Jones is a distinguished lyric baritone and choral conductor from Tulsa, Oklahoma. His impressive career includes performances at renowned venues worldwide, such as the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Varna Opera Academy in Bulgaria. He has portrayed notable characters like Dr. Gregg in Douglas Moore's "Gallantry" and Masetto in Mozart’s "Don Giovanni". Jones has also showcased his skills as a soloist with orchestras, including the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, Tulsa Signature Symphony, and Elgin Symphony Orchestra. His leadership roles include serving as the Assistant Conductor/Director of the COGIC Chorale for the International Church of God in Christ and as Director of Choral Activities at Langston University.

 

Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance from Texas Southern University, a Master of Music in classical voice from the Manhattan School of Music, and is completing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in vocal performance at the University of Missouri (Kansas City) Conservatory for Music and Dance, with an anticipated completion date in May of 2025.
