Transient Admission (also referred to as Visiting Student) allows an undergraduate student to enroll at TSU for a specific period without applying for regular admission (non-degree seeking applicant). Students seeking transient admission typically enroll to receive college credit toward a degree at another institution.

Transient admission status is only valid for one long academic semester. Students must reapply for transient admission for future semesters. Transient students are not eligible for financial aid. The transient admission status will not exceed two regular semesters.

Transient Admission Requirements

Undergraduate students who are in good standing at their current or most recently attended college or university must submit one of the following items:

  • Letter of good standing from the applicant’s current college or university.
  • Official transcript from current/most recent college or university.
