Professional Biography

Dr. Ronnie Davis  is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Educational Administration where he teaches courses in Statistics and Research. Before joining Texas Southern University, he was a full professor at Grambling State University in the Department of Sociology and Psychology. He taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Statistics, Research, Sociology and Social Science. At Grambling State University, he also taught Statistics and Research courses in the Departments of Social Work, Criminal Justice, Sports Administration and the Honor College. He has chaired several theses and published numerous articles in professional and scholarly journals. In addition, he has presented papers and served on panels at several sociological conferences.

Moreover, Dr. Davis has served on dissertation committees at Grambling State University, Texas Southern University, University of Houston Main Campus, Texas A & M University and St John University. He served on the editorial Board of Research Association Journal for Minority Professors. Furthermore, he was invited to serve on the editorial Board of the Journal of Sociological Perspective. Finally, Dr. Davis’ major academic interests are theoretical statistics, and advanced and complex research designs, and Sociology of Education.
