C. Gabriel Hayes

C. Gabriel Hayes serves as CEO of Universal Patient Record Information System, LLC (UPRIS) a Health Information Technology company that strives to assist community & faith-based organizations in achieving improved health outcomes.

Mr. Hayes and his partners have long been passionate about reducing, if not eliminating socio-economic and race based health disparities through education and community outreach that leverages technology and the trusted leadership of community and faith based organizations to purposefully engage its members. Mr. Hayes with his UPRIS team developed the flagship platform; www.OurHealthMinistry.com which is one of the first culturally appropriate, web-based platforms to address health disparities in communities of color.

The OurHealthMinistry.com platform is a thoughtful intersect of elements of spirituality, social networking, health information dissemination, and data capture designed to increase health literacy and health outcomes.

Mr. Hayes is a co-founder of the Institute For e-Health Equity. The Institute For e-Health Equity is a 501(C)(3) whose mission is convening Public/Private partnerships to develop funding, infrastructure resource, and programmatic sustainability strategies for reducing health disparities through culturally appropriate patent education and utilization of Health Information Technology (HIT) in underserved populations and communities of color.

Mr. Hayes contributes over 25 years of executive management, and leadership experience to his role at UPRIS. Mr. Hayes is responsible for the day to day operation of the company and serves as the primary liaison for client interaction.

Prior to joining UPRIS as a shareholder and CEO, Mr. Hayes served as Co-Business Head for JP Morgan Asset Management (formerly Banc One Investment Advisors) Mid Corporate business division which consisted of over $250 Billion in assets under management, and an organization of several hundred professionals across business disciplines and product lines. His responsibilities included developing and implementing the strategic direction of the business division, management of a $200 million P&L, compliance, legal, marketing, new business development, client services, and aggressive growth planning. Mr. Hayes served on Banc One Investment Advisors Executive Committee, and Investment Policy Committee.

Prior to being elevated to Co-Business Head, Mr. Hayes served as Managing Director and National Institutional Sales Manager in which he was responsible for establishing the overall sales and marketing strategy for the company and served on the division’s executive committee.

Mr. Hayes actively serves the community through various boards and committees. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute for eHealth Equity, Museum of Cultural Arts, Houston, and the Advisory Council for the Texas Southern University (TSU) Jesse H. Jones School of Business.

A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mr. Hayes holds a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana Tech University and holds several NASD licenses. He is an avid cyclist and an advocate for youth fitness.
