Texas Southern University (TSU) is located in the heart of Houston, America's fourth-largest city, renowned for its diverse population, vibrant business climate, and thriving performing and visual arts community. As the world’s energy capital, Houston has evolved into a global leader with a nearly unparalleled quality of life.
Situated near downtown, TSU was established as a public, co-educational, historically Black university, growing from one building in 1947 to a sprawling 150-acre campus with 45 facilities, including three professional schools, a music recital hall, a 7,200-seat arena, and state-of-the-art living and recreational spaces.
The Library Learning Center serves as a hub for collaborative learning and innovative services, featuring special collections like the Barbara Jordan Archives, the Traditional African Art Gallery, the Heartman Collection, and the University Archives.
