Richelle N. Jones, J.D., M.P.A.

Richelle N. Jones, J.D. is the Director of Student Support Services and Assessment in the Barbara Jordan – Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs. She is an advocate for all students in the BJ-ML School of Public Affairs and has a unique student-focused philosophy. A native of Brazoria, Texas, she is a three-time graduate from Texas Southern University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2005, a Master of Public Administration degree in 2007, and a Juris Doctor in 2012 from TSU’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Eddie Bebley

Eddie Bebley is an academic advisor/counselor in the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs. A native of Alabama, Mr. Bebley has been at Texas Southern University for 9 years. Prior to joining the BJ-ML School of Public Affairs, Mr. Bebley was an admission/recruitment counselor for the Office of Admissions. He has been an advisor in the BJ-ML School for four years.

Sherena Johnson

Sherena Johnson is an academic advisor/counselor in the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs. A native of Louisiana, she earned her BA degree in Sociology from Texas Southern in 2013. Ms. Johnson has been at Texas Southern University for over 10 years. Prior to joining the BJ-ML School of Public Affairs, Ms. Johnson was a graduation analyst in the Office of Enrollment Services.

The Office of Student Support Services is here to help facilitate student success in the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs by complementing student academic development. Our primary function is to provide accurate and timely advisement to BJMLSPA students. Beyond advisement, our office offers a number of workshops and professional development activities meant to buttress the academic development that occurs in the classroom.

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports are structured competitive and recreational sports and activities designed for all students, faculty and staff at Texas Southern University. The program features on campus team and individual competition in a variety of sports. All IM Sports offer men, women and co-rec divisions for each sport offered.
