COPHS Outreach: Connecting Communities Beyond TSU
Welcome to the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) Office of Outreach at Texas Southern University. Dedicated to extending COPHS’ impact beyond the campus, the Office of Outreach actively engages with Third Ward and Houston communities through collaborative initiatives. By partnering with students, faculty, alumni, and community organizations, COPHS Outreach focuses on educating the community about critical health issues, providing health screenings, sharing valuable information, promoting higher education and healthcare career opportunities, and fostering partnerships that create scholarships and research opportunities.
We seek to engage the greater Third Ward and Houston communities by creating opportunities to engage with the college, COPHS students & student organizatiions, faculty, and alums as we work together to:
- educate the community on prominent health issues
- provide health screenings and information
- expose the community to higher education and health-related career opportunities
- develop and partner with community businesses and organizations to create scholarships, partnerships, and research opportunities.
