PHARMACY READING ROOM

The Pharmacy Reading Room, located on the first floor of the Spurgeon E. Gray Hall, School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences building, has a seating capacity of 32 and has an area of 1,116 square feet of space. Library resources housed in the reading room support the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences programs.

COLLECTION

The collection consists of current journal titles (back issues of journal titles are housed in the Robert James Terry Library) along with a wide variety of reference and reserve books relating directly to pharmacy and health sciences. Also, located in the reading room are vertical files and computer workstations on which library users can access the library online catalog and electronic databases.

Access World News

Includes Access UN (1991-2007) which is the premier index to UN documents with full text of several thousand UN documents. Also, contains the electronic records of major local, regional, and national newspapers as fill as full text content of key international sources.

National Newspaper Index

This database provides quick access to the indexing of America’s top five newspapers in one seamless search, NYTimes, Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, and Washington Post.

Newspaper Source

Newspaper Source covers full text for more than 40 U.S. and international newspapers. The database also contains selective fulltext for 389 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, fulltext television & radio news transcripts are also provided.
