About Us
The Interdisciplinary Health Professions (IHP) Simulation Center is a 20,000 square-foot,
state-of-the-art facility located on the second floor of the Nabrit Science Building.
The Simulation Center is designed to emulate a complete health-system environment
with patient care areas and ancillary departments, providing a variety of resources
for health care professional skills training and assessment. The simulation center
is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Mission
The mission of the TSU-COPHS Interdisciplinary Health Professions (IHP) Simulation
Center is to prepare licensure-and-practice-ready graduates in healthcare by providing
real-world training experiences that offer simulated team-based patient care in an
environment that emphasizes communication, collaboration and patient-centered care.
Vision
To provide leadership in the use of simulation techniques and technologies by providing
efficient, effective, innovative training to enhance student learning and improve
patient outcomes and healthcare.
The facility is utilized by students from each of the health science disciplines represented in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
