The APR measures eligibility, graduation, and retention each semester or academic term and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in every sport. All teams must meet an academic threshold of 930 to qualify for the postseason and can face penalties for continued low academic performance. TSU posted a department-wide score of 965 during the last NCAA APR report.

"Words can’t express how proud I am of our student-athletes for continuing to exceed the academic bar despite the obstacles they’ve faced this past academic year in terms of COVID-19,” said Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Kevin Granger. “I have to also thank our Board of Regents, Office of the President, the entire TSU faculty and staff for their efforts in ensuring our student-athletes are put in the proper position to succeed academically. Lastly, I have to thank our athletic academic and compliance departments for their work in working with the student-athletes so they’re able to surpass the APR bar that we’ve been able to exceed on a yearly basis.”

“This is a group effort from the top down,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director Mike Moleta. “This demonstrates how the primary goal of educating and graduating student-athletes is always on the forefront of TSU Athletics.”

The Department of Athletics will honor all of its student-athletes for their efforts Friday afternoon at 12 p.m. inside Durley Stadium with a reception.
