The Graduate Program in Business at Texas Southern University prepares students for success in business, government, healthcare, technology, and entrepreneurship through its cutting-edge and innovative programming. The Master of Business Administration programs provide plenty of options to focus on particular aspects of business or in a concentration, giving students a competitive edge in today's job market. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is designed to provide students with the knowledge, analytical ability, and management skills necessary for leadership positions in a world characterized by a diverse work force, rapid technological change, and a fiercely competitive global marketplace. The program is offered on campus in the evening hours.
The Online Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Program is a two-year, 36 credit hours program uniquely designed to meet the challenging needs of mid-career professionals who wish to pursue an MBA degree with the least possible disruption to their professional and personal lives. The EMBA program combines the advanced business concepts of an MBA curriculum and prepares candidates to lead an manage organizations in different sectors. The program is delivered entirely online.
The Master of Science degree in Management Information System is a two-year, 33 credit hours program designed to equip students with the necessary skills to mange information technology within the various functional fields of accounting, finance, management, and marketing. The curriculum emphasizes conceptual, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills and provides effective information to support any industry or professional organization. A concentration in Data Analytics is offered, which helps by learning critical skills needed to effectively use Data Analytics to harness the potential of the vast amount of data available within and outside any organization/industry.
The pervasive use and application of Data Analytics has created a need to acquire the skill set needed to effectively use data. The Data Analytics Certificate offered by the Jesse H. Jones School of Business is 15 credit hours, two semester long certificate program designed to meet the need for understanding and using Data Analytics in a variety of fields and industries.

Application Requirements & Criteria
As a degree applicant, all of the following conditions must be met:
- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university. An example of the "equivalent" as indicated above may be an international student who has graduated from a college university that issues a diploma or certificate instead of a degree.
- A satisfactory undergraduate sequence of courses in the proposed major.
- A grade point average in all undergraduate work of 2.5 (C+) or better or a grade point average of 3.0 on the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate course work.
- A score on the aptitude section of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), which will be used in conjunction with other admission factors.
- A score of at least 550 on the paper-based test, 213 on the computer-based test, or 79 on the internet-based test of the TOEFL if the applicant is an international student.
- An Analytical Writing score of 3.5 or above on GRE or GMAT exam to fulfill English proficiency requirement.
Admission to the Graduate School is made on the recommendation of the program to which a potential student is applying. The above requirements represent minimum standards for unconditional admission. Individual programs may have additional standards and requirements. Applicants who do not meet all of the above requirements may be eligible for conditional admission. Successful applications who do not score 3.5 on the analytical writing potion of the GRE or GMAT will be required to demonstrate English proficiency by successfully completing the course English 501 Graduate Professional Writing.
