Center for Africana Futures – Advancing Black Digital Innovation & Leadership
The Center for Africana Futures at Texas Southern University is committed to shaping a Black digital future where Black individuals are central creators and leaders in global technology, AI, and digital humanities. Through faculty grants, research initiatives, and innovative pedagogy, the center fosters Black Digital Humanities and Black Digital Futures, equipping students and scholars with the tools to lead in AI, big data, metaverse development, and technological policymaking.
By integrating education, activism, and digital innovation, the Center for Africana Futures empowers the next generation of media and tech pioneers, ensuring equity and leadership in the evolving digital landscape.
