Hands-On Multimedia Training for Future Industry Leaders
KTSU2 equips students with practical skills for careers in digital audio, television/video, and multimedia industries. Through a student-centered, immersive training lab, undergraduate and graduate students develop expertise in writing, analytical thinking, oral communication, and technological innovation. With hands-on experience in multimodal platforms, KTSU2 prepares students to excel in a technology-driven society as engaged citizens and innovative leaders in media and communication.
KTSU2 equips students with hands-on experience in digital audio, television/video, and multimedia industries, preparing them for successful careers in media production. Through practical training, students develop strong writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills while enhancing their oral communication abilities. With specialized instruction in digital audio and video production techniques, KTSU2 ensures students gain real-world experience in radio, television, digital media content creation, and multimedia production, making them competitive in the evolving media landscape.
Advancing Multimedia Innovation & Student Media Education
In fall 2019, Texas Southern University’s School of Communication (SOC) expanded KTSU2 into a cutting-edge multimedia operation, integrating digital video production and simulcasting capabilities. SOC’s newly renovated wing in the MLK building will serve as an innovation hub for audio, video, and internet programming, providing students with hands-on experience in news, sports, entertainment, music, public affairs, education, and cultural programming.
