Student Advising Questions
Texas Southern University Academic Advising
Our advising team is committed to providing students with proactive, holistic, and student-centered support throughout their academic journey. Academic advising is more than selecting courses, it is a partnership designed to help students understand their degree requirements, make informed academic decisions, overcome barriers, and remain on track toward graduation. Through the Tiger Advising & Support Office (TASO), Freshmen Year Advising (Enrollment and Completion Advisors), and our college-based academic advisors, we work collaboratively across the University to provide students with consistent guidance and access to the resources they need to succeed. Our goal is simple: connect with students early, support them consistently, and empower them to confidently navigate their pathway from enrollment to graduation. At Texas Southern University, advising is not just about the next semester—it is about helping every Tiger develop a clear plan for reaching the finish line. Plan. Progress. Persist. Graduate.
